DescriptionThis very unique Limpopo Bushveld destination, called the Bushmen / San Safari Lodge & Tented Camp is Safe and Malaria Free. Situated on the side of a small hill, overlooking Africa in all her glory.It is neighbour to the Bushmen/San people. The Tented Camp is based and themed around the Culture and ways of The San people while the Safari Lodge represents the ultimate in luxury and comfort. You will wake up in the night, thinking : here I am, were I ought to be.The very private Tented CAMP can sleep a total of 16 persons (4 per tent). It consists of 4 Separate 3-compartment, fully equipped Tented units, each with own private boma, toilet and warm water shower. Fully or Self-catering. The Safari Lodge can sleep a total of 18 persons (up to 3 per room). It consists of 4 luxury en-suite rooms and 3 fully equipped en-suite luxury Bush Cottages. Fully or Self-catering. Accommodation Hemmingway-Style Tent 2 Includes: B & B Hemmingway-style tents, placed under an elevated thatched roof. Own private braai area with boma. Tent consists of three sections: private en-suite bathroom, bedroom area with 1 queen and 1 single beds, varendah area with outside view. One unit is Ideal for a family or group of 3 persons. The camp has only 2 tented units and 3 Luxury Cottages, private and secure in the bush. Electricity is 220V, oil lamps and candles. Warm water, Fridge/freezer, gas stove in catering area. Bush Cottage 3 Includes: B & B A large elevated, luxury bush cottage, situated on the side of a hill, overlooking the waterhole, Bushveld trees and grass. Very private, yet within walking distance from the Main Safari Lodge. Small kitchenette with everything needed to do self-catering. Private boma. Each cottage has 1 double bed and, 1 single bed and can thus sleep up to 3 persons. Meals can be booked at the Main Lodge and served at the Cottage, should you wish to dine in private. Four comfortable Hemmingway-style tents, dwarfed by the distantt BOBIDI Mountain and screened by trees reaching up to the bluest sky, seem fused by the ancient red rock. The tents have elevated sone bases, thatched roofs and are decorated in tribute of the Bushmen/San people who lived in the area for thousands of years and are still living in a nearby traditional village. The four person, three compartment tents are reminiscent of Hemmingway - a burnished mahogany cupboard, teable and chairs. Decor includes lamps, calabashes, ostrich eggs and gourds. Each tent has it's own private boma, fireplace, cuttlery and crockery, cooking utensils, bedding, running water as well as an unique outside shower (cold & warm) with toilet. From the outside thatched varendah you have a birdseye view. Catering Each unit has all equipment for self-catering. The central kitchen has all needed to prepare a gourmet bush meal and has a 6-plate gat stove with big oven. A has fridge/freezer provide ample cooling for food and drinks. The kitchen and main boma closes on Saturdays from 15h00 till 23h00 for our special themed Dinner and presentation as well as Sundays from 08h00 till 11h00 for breakfast, if needed. Electricity The camp runs on solar power(12V DC) and has limited 220v AC power, converted from 12V DC solar power. Karosene lamps and candles provide ample romantic light at the walkways and private bomas. It burns throughtout the night and contributes towards an amazing and warm servivor-like evening atmosphere. DirectionsFrom GAUTENG take the N1 North towards Pietersburg/Polokwane. At the Kranskop Toll Plaza take the left lane towards NYLSTROOM. Drive through Nylstroom to VAALWATER. Outside Vaalwater take the Ellisras 88 Km turnoff to the right and head North to ELLISRAS / LEPHALALE. Drive through ELLISRAS towards the Botswana border (STOCKPOORT). 2 Km outside ELLISRAS, turn right towards MARKEN / POTGIETERSRUS. Drive for 38 km and find the SAFARILANDS Main Gate on your right. From Pietersburg / Polokwane take the Marken/Groblersbrug road when entering Potgietersrus. Turn again towards Marken outside Potgiersrus and head for 110km to Marken. In Marken turn left towards Ellisras and travel 41km. SAFARILANDS Main gate on your left.
